We’re looking for an experienced CAT Heavy Equipment Mechanic with strong hands-on experience maintaining, diagnosing and repairing Caterpillar mining equipment.

Equipment experience required

You must have experience working on a strong combination of the following CAT equipment:

• Haul trucks and water carts: 777, 785 and 793
• Dozers: D9, D10 and D11
• Graders: 16, 18 and 24
• Loaders: 980, 988, 992 and 994

What you’ll be doing

• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
• Completing breakdown repairs and planned maintenance
• Performing major component change-outs
• Troubleshooting using CAT ET and SIS
• Repairing engines, powertrains, hydraulic systems and electrical systems
• Accurately completing service reports and maintenance documentation
• Working independently while maintaining high safety and quality standards

What we’re looking for

• Extensive experience working on CAT heavy mining equipment
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Experience completing major repairs and component change-outs
• Competence using CAT ET and SIS
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Ability to pass all required pre-employment screening
